My Background

Education, Training, and Work Experience

I received my Doctorate in Psychology in 1994. I originally practiced as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Since 1997, I have been licensed as a psychologist in the state of Texas. My license number is 25769. I am a Registered Health Service Provider.

In my training and work experience, I have worked at the following agencies:

My APA internship was in the special education department of the Dallas Public Schools

Non-profit and community agencies

I was the Administrator of Catholic Charities of Dallas, Catholic Counseling Services. I managed their Adoption Agency, Counseling Services, Unaccompanied Refugee Minor Program, and Adolescent Drug and Alcohol program. My experience in both non-profit and community agencies allowed me to work with a wide variety of issues pertaining to children, adolescents and their families.

My Current Practice

My practice currently is private. I am past president of the Dallas Psychological Association. I am a member of the Texas Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association. I stay involved in community activities and professional issues. I also work with military families and have been involved in pre and post deployment debriefings with returning soldiers and their families. I am a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, having served as the Registrar and Regent for the Cross Timbers Chapter in Lewisville.
